Bill Dorigan, J.D., M.A., is a certified Anusara Yoga teacher who started practicing yoga after a long history of athletics, which included college football (he was a 230 pound lineman and a center for Ken Anderson, the Cincinnati Bengals’ All-Pro quarterback), martial arts (Bill holds three black belts), and participation in marathons and triathlons. Bill began his yoga practice in the Iyengar tradition in 1998 and his curiosity and interest in yoga led him to eventually begin the study of Anusara Yoga, founded by Bill’s teacher, John Friend. Bill studies on an on-going basis with John Friend, and has completed numerous teacher trainings and therapy trainings with John. Bill has almost 2000 hours in Anusara training, including approximately 1000 hours studying with John Friend, as well as completion of power vinyasa teacher training through CorePower Yoga in Denver. Bill's teaching style is, of course, strongly influenced by the heart-oriented Tantric philosophy taught in the Anusara tradition by John Friend, Dr. Douglas Brooks, Dr. Paul Muller Ortega, and others with whom he studies, and, as a result, Bill recognizes each student's unique magic and gifts. In addition to teaching yoga, Bill is also a trial attorney and has handled a number of high profile cases, including litigation against the tobacco industry, and has traveled all over the United States, Europe and as far away as Japan on behalf of his clients. In addition, in 2005 Bill received a Masters of Arts Degree in Human Development which included an emphasis on behavior and meditation, and a fourteen credit hour study of the philosophy and practice of yoga, including study of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Bill engages in ongoing study in Tantric philosophy with both Dr. Douglas Brooks, Dr. Paul Muller-Ortega, and Sally Kempton. Bill has combined his unique background as a successful trial attorney, highly-qualified yoga instructor, and graduate studies in human development to create Finding The Midline, focusing on increasing the well-being of individuals, businesses, and other organizations.
